We are delighted to announce the successful culmination of yet another empowering journey under the Youth Elevation Scheme, a collaborative effort between the Rotary Club of Barbados and The Juvenille Scheme of the Barbados Police Service.
This latest cohort has once again exemplified the power of youth engagement in fostering peaceful communities through empowerment and meaningful engagement.
Throughout the duration of the program, participants immersed themselves in a series of dynamic workshops, interactive sessions, and initiatives aimed at instilling values of peace, leadership, and social responsibility. Through hands-on experiences and mentorship, they gained invaluable skills and insights to become proactive agents of positive change within their communities.
The highlight of this journey was the recent graduation ceremony held at the Barbados Light and Power Christie Room, where participants were celebrated for their dedication, perseverance, and commitment to making a difference. Surrounded by family, mentors, and community leaders, the graduates were applauded for their achievements and encouraged to continue their journey towards personal and communal growth.
A poignant moment of the graduation ceremony was the Peace Pole Planting ceremony, held at the Police Boys and Girls Club. Symbolizing the participants' unwavering dedication to peace and unity, the Peace Pole stands as a powerful reminder of their collective vision for a harmonious society. Through this symbolic gesture, they pledge to work tirelessly towards building bridges, fostering understanding, and promoting dialogue within their communities.
